When drilling and tapping is required, you must furnish a drilling template see figure 2B (page 5). Lew Electric is not responsible for incorrect sizes or locations of holes when sketch of drilling template is not submitted.

When drillings and tappings are requested by our customers, it becomes the customer’s, not Lew Electric’s, ­ responsibility to use water tight fittings and sealants and to comply with NEMA 250-1997 type 4 regulations as well as the requirements set forth by UL standards for fittings for conduit and outlet boxes.

Lew Electric part #1100-E mounting ears for cast iron junction boxes are required for the purpose of sealing the cover to the gasket and box and to give the box a nema type 4 water-tight rating.

Lew Electric part #1101-L mounting lugs can be installed on each corner of the box for the purposes of securing the floor box during a cement pour or to mount the floor box to a wall.
